African Americans who did and those who did not, attend an HBCU, all know what
“Homecoming” means! Time to go back to that place, where so many great times were
had and great memories, stay close to heart. To see friends, renew old friendships
and enjoy ourselves. To celebrate our culture and continue conversations begun long
ago on moving our people forward. Checking in on each our progress and how
exchanging ideas and information to still improve our quests.

Festival Friday Night Fish Fry Funky Throw Down, will capture the feeling as if you were visiting one of the best jook joints and listening to some of the best live music imaginable. This will be one magical night, bar none!
Inspired by The Montreux Jazz Festival’s 54 Summers of Music, Festival of African American Arts & Entertainment can only hope to take our audiences on a spiritual journey throughout the day and evening for the next 54 years. But we promise you this. Each and every year thereafter, Festival will present the finest in music from finest musicians, presented in the finest in the African American music tradition.
